Putin orders govt to simplify financial aid to emergency victims

MOSCOW, Aug 17 (PRIME) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered the government to simplify the procedures of financial support to the people affected by the emergencies until September 1, the Kremlin said on Tuesday.

The government was ordered to amend legislation to include one-time payments and compensations for the loss of essential property against proof of living in the premises affected by the emergencies.

The president also ordered the government and the regions to prepare proposals on obligatory insurance of property of households in the zones of recurring floods until October 15.
